Morgan Joseph O’Neill

Morgan was admitted as an attorney and Proctor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales on 29 August 1908 and he practised as a sole practitioner and in several partnerships in the City of Sydney in the years following his admission.

 

 

 

 

 

 

John Murray Hellmrich

John was admitted and enrolled as an Attorney, Solicitor and Proctor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales on 21 January 1936.

John served his articles before admission with Morgan Joseph O’Neill. In time, Morgan offered John a partnership and from then until shortly before Morgan’s death they carried a practice in the City of Sydney under the style of Morgan J. O’Neill & Hellmrich.

Following Morgan’s death John continued practice under the former partnership name through the years of World War II.

 

 

Alan Desmond Hickey

Alan Desmond Hickey was admitted as an Attorney, Solicitor and Proctor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales on 13 March 1959.

John Murray Hellmrich sought an article clerk and Alan filled that position.

It was not long after his admission, before John offered Alan a partnership and after a further short time they changed the name of the firm to Hellmrich & Hickey.

John Murray Hellmrich retired in 1976 and for the next 25 or so years Alan carried on practice under the style of Hellmrich & Hickey.

 

John David de Mestre

John David de Mestre was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales on 6 July 1984.

John de Mestre & Co Pty Ltd was established in 1992.

In or about 2001 Alan Hickey amalgamated Hellmrich & Hickey and John and Alan carried on practice under the style of John de Mestre & Co Pty Ltd incorporating Helmrich & Hickey.

 

 

Michael John de Mestre 

Michael was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales on 17 February 2012 and is currently a director of John de Mestre & Co Pty Ltd. Michael is the son of John de Mestre.

 

MaryAnn Linda de Mestre 

MaryAnn was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales on 9 October 2015 is currently a senior associate of John de Mestre & Co Pty Ltd. MaryAnn is the daughter of John de Mestre.
